James and the Giant Peach

Tim Burton protege Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas) combines stop-motion animation and stylized live action in this 1996 Disney adaptation of Roald Dahl's book about a boy who climbs inside a giant peach and sails for New York. The music is by Randy Newman; with Miriam Margolyes, Pete Postlethwaite, and the voices of Richard Dreyfuss, Simon Callow, Susan Sarandon, and David Thewlis. 80 min.
