James Sanders and Conjunto

Violinist James Sanders leads Steve Eisen and Willy Garcia on winds; Roel Trevino, Jean Leroy, and Jose Rendon on percussion; Leandor Lopez-Varady on piano; and Jose Porcayo on bass. Conjunto’s distinctive blend of Afro-Cuban, Puerto Rican, and jazz elements has attracted critical acclaim and loyal audiences everywhere they’ve played. They have released two CDs: Live in Little Village (recorded at their long standing gig at the Jacaranda on 26th Street) and Chicago Sessions. Velvet Lounge.
