Juwanna Mann

An outrageously egotistical, womanizing pro basketball player (Miguel A. Nunez Jr.) gets suspended and, desperate for cash, gets himself up in drag and joins a struggling women's team. Newcomer Bradley Allenstein wrote the script for this lame cross-dressing comedy, an obvious rehash of Sydney Pollack's Tootsie. The idea of transposing the story to the macho, greedy world of big-time sports is promising, but director Jesse Vaughan delivers only flat dialogue and predictable situations. Vivica A. Fox is the love interest, Kevin Pollak the stereotypical sports agent; with Tommy Davidson, Kim Wayans, and cameos by Lil' Kim and Ginuwine. 90 min.
