Stitching Salon

Chicago Tourism Center

72 E. Randolph

312-744-2400 or winterdelights.com/stitchingsalon/

Now that it finally feels like winter's here, what better time to learn to make your own, warm and cozy woolens? Stitching Salon, part of the city's annual Winter Delights initiative, is a two-month series that includes informal knitting circles along with weekly workshops on specific knitting skills like using circular needles and pattern design; interactive demonstrations of weaving, quilting, and jewelry making; and even craft-inspired films. Materials are provided on-site and the programs are open to novices and experienced crafters alike. Reservations are required for some. The salon is open Sun-Fri 10 AM-6 PM and Sat 9 AM-5 PM.
