Dan Whitney has become a phenomenon on the blue-collar comedy circuit as Larry the Cable Guy, a walking ass crack whose off-color jokes would probably embarrass Jethro Bodine. Slavishly devoted to his southern demographic, Whitney specializes in offending good taste and political correctness, and though some of his one-liners are pretty good, his shtick can't sustain this dutifully scripted comedy. Megyn Price, who's done time on the sitcom Grounded for Life, is a welcome distraction as the waitress with a crush on Larry. (And if that's not acting, what is?) Trent Cooper directed; with David Koechner and Joe Pantoliano. PG-13, 89 min.
