Dear Reader,

Adding to Fritz Neuhauser's comments about Tony Fitzpatrick's Dime Stories cartoon [Letters, March 10]; while there are shifts in content each week, I am puzzled about the humor. Several have made me laugh, but I don't know why. Perhaps the jokes work on some subconscious level, or they are making references to events and figures in the youth culture which would be obscure to the general public. Some of my friends say it is not even supposed to be a cartoon which I find absurd.

I'm sure there are other local cartoonists you could support whose work would speak to a wider audience.
