Old-school "fancy" place serving prime rib, lobster, fish, and that's about it.
Set in a stately old mansion, Lawrys has beautiful rooms with intimate booths and a lounge with an elegant spiral staircase to admire while waiting for your table. At dinner, the only entrees are prime rib of beef, lobster tail, and a fish special; at lunch the bar has a variety of salads and sandwiches such as turkey, corned beef, and prime rib at a fraction of the dinner price. Dinner includes the signature spinning-bowl salad made at your table, Yorkshire pudding, creamed horseradish, and mashed potatoes; recommended a la carte sides are creamed spinach and huge baked potatoes. Desserts include cheesecake and chocolate cake. Proper British-style service is attentive and unobtrusive. Lawrys is especially festive for holiday dinners, with carolers at Christmas and turkey carved from the carts at Thanksgiving.
