The last time that the Reader ran a story by Richard Meltzer, I dutifully tried to plow through it, with no success. Now I had the same experience with "The Wisdom in Our Underwear, Final Notes on the Only Century We Had Until Last Week (My Century, Your Century, Bobo Olson's Century)," also by Meltzer (January 7, 2000). What is the fascination with this gentleman? But I must go--I'm boring you.
