Lilith: A Rock and Roll Music Spectacle The Short List (Theater) Closing (Theater and Galleries)

When: Thursdays-Sundays. Continues through June 27 2009

This amateurish effort from the Ludicrous Theatre Company draws on the myth of Adam's first wife, who was banished from Eden for refusing to obey her husband. Stilted dramatic vignettes are punctuated by unintentionally funny dance numbers in which Adam and Lilith cavort stark naked with a curious flock of bisexual angels while the Creator--played by writer-director-producer-designer Wayne Shaw, clad in an unflattering white disco jumpsuit--lip-synchs to 1980s hits "Relax" and "Welcome to the Pleasuredome." The show would be totally unwatchable if not for the dance-club lighting and the video design by Fred Uebele and Phil Barton. --Albert Williams
