Lost and Found: A Recycled Circus Member Picks The Short List (Theater) Recommended Closing (Theater and Galleries)

When: Fridays-Sundays. Continues through March 13 2011

Turning 30 is hard enough--but when a circus clown has to spend her birthday selling pigs' feet and raw beet snacks under the big top, well, she's liable to give you an earful. That is, until she meets an adorable scamp who shares her affinity for dancing with inanimate objects. Director Lawrence DiStasi showcases a wry sense of humor and some superb acrobatics in this quirky Actors Gymnasium show. Co-creator Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi frames the cute love story with stunts by an ensemble combining professional gymnasts, kids, and teens. Though this is family fare, DiStasi isn't afraid to be a little mischievous--as when he allows himself to be trip-lined and dragged offstage by a gang of feral children. --Dan Jakes
