Lost in the Fog

In 2004, octogenarian real estate agent Harry Aleo paid $10,000 for a “blue collar” colt, Lost in the Fog, that turned out to be the champion racer he'd been seeking all this life. This 2008 doc by former TV news producer John Corey is as plain as they come, but its underdog pairing of the cranky, outspoken owner and his gorgeous steed is irresistible, and the film offers some good insights into the ethics of the racing game. 81 min.
