Malibu's Most Wanted

I can't say I've never laughed this much at a movie before, but I don't think I've ever laughed this much at a movie with only one joke. Jamie Kennedy stars as a rich white hip-hopper whose ghetto persona has become such an embarrassment to his father (Ryan O'Neal), a gubernatorial candidate, that the father's devious campaign manager (Blair Underwood) hires two straitlaced black actors (Taye Diggs and Anthony Anderson) to pose as gangstas, kidnap the kid, and “scare the black out of him.” The racial satire is about as subtle as a sledgehammer, but there's something exhilarating about so blunt a weapon being swung with such wild abandon. 80 min.
