Marino Marini: Art Exhibit

Three sculptures, and thirty drawings, lithographs and silkscreen prints by the Italian artist Marino Marini (1901 - 1980) will be on display at the Italian Cultural Institute from March 4, 2010 through May 7. Marino Marini, known for his iconic "Knight" sculptures and beautifully modeled "Venus" sculptures, taught at Brera Academy of Art in Milan. His work was exhibited in all the world's major museums during his lifetime, and there is a museum dedicated to his artwork in Florence, the Museo Marino Marini. It will be possible for the first time in Chicago to admire Marini's brilliant work in a context that takes into account all the different phases of his artistic career.
