The retrospective encompasses four decades of her experience in art making, which focuses mainly on installation, but also includes painting and photography. A common theme found in Dritschel’s work is her use of language and metaphors as important launching points, often threaded with humor. Throughout her career, Dritschel has been engaged in exploring the issues of gender and the sexual, political, and socioeconomic status of women in society.
