The annual Midwest Folk Festival takes place August 1st and 2nd this year in historic Bishop Hill, Illinois. The festival is FREE and open to the public. This year’s festival will focus on presenting the ethnic and folk arts of post WWII immigrant populations. Art forms from folk and ethnic groups will be showcased in a variety of formats, including live performances, hands-on activities, demonstrations, displays, and an artist-led children’s area. In addition to multiple stages and activity areas, festival goers will have the opportunity to enjoy barn dancing, great food, and more.
