It's puzzling that almost all coverage of musician/engineer John McEntire--including Peter Margasak's career overview (Post No Bills, October 18)--fails to mention his tenure in the band Seam. McEntire and Bundy Brown joined Seam together in 1991 and played on some of the band's most acclaimed recordings: the Kernel EP, and "Road to Madrid," from the album The Problem With Me.
It's also worth noting McEntire's previous work in film music: last year he engineered the original sound track to Rea Tajiri's Strawberry Fields, which was composed and performed by Brown and Seam's Sooyoung Park.
