Momentos | Chicago Reader

Argentinean filmmaker Maria Luisa Bemberg, whose 1984 historical drama Camila received an Oscar nomination, made her directing debut with this quiet and attentive 1980 feature about a May-December romance. Widowed young and remarried to a dull psychoanalyst, a middle-aged landscape architect lets herself be seduced by an ardent young client who's also married; the affair has less to do with either man than with the husband she mourns. In Spanish with subtitles. 89 min.
