A drunken longshoreman (Jean Gabin), who thinks he may have killed a man, rescues a woman (Ida Lupino) from suicide. Archie Mayo directed this 1942 romance from 20th Century-Fox, taking over for Fritz Lang, though some of Lang's footage survives.
