Featuring a free rose for all mothers. Chef-owner David Schneider serves Taxim’s dinner menu from noon-7 p.m. on Mother’s Day (special hours). Expect seasonal small plates such as Rokasalata, baby arugula with green almonds, fresh ramps and a dill and a lemon-sumac vinaigrette; Rampópita, ramps with fresh dill, goat feta and house-made phyllo; and Sparágia me avgó pápias, young asparagus with duck egg and wood-grilled no-knead garlic bread. Entrees include oven-roasted whole Cretan sea bass with lemon, olive oil and sautéed dandelions; fava bean and goat cheese dumplings with roasted eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, yogurt and browned goat butter.
