Mountain Days-The John Muir Musical

Mountain Days-The John Muir Musical is the story of naturalist John Muir with book and lyrics by Mary Bracken Phillips, music and orchestrations by Craig Bohmler and directed by Frank Farrell. This Midwest premiere follows Muir from Scotland to California where he becomes an early founder of the national park system. This musical reveals a conflicted Muir trying to balance his love of family with his compulsion for the outdoors while being unwillingly drawn into the politics of preservation. At The Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Route 53 in Lisle, IL. Audience will hike 2 miles to the plays 10 different outdoor locations. Admission $10 - $25.
