Murder, She Said | Chicago Reader

Murder, She Said

The first of Margaret Rutherford's four outings as Agatha Christie's Miss Marple. Rutherford mugs winningly, though I've always thought Edna May Oliver would have been much better casting. Filmed in the impeccably bland British style of the period (1962), the series is distinguished mainly by its utter lack of atmosphere. With Arthur Kennedy and James Robertson Justice; directed by George Pollock.
