When: Fri., Oct. 28, 3 p.m. 2011
The American Mustache Institute's 'Stache Bash visits Chicago for the first time to raise awareness (and funds) for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong, as well as promote the long-standing tradition of growing hair on your upper lip in the style of Burt Reynolds circa '81 to '84 (aka the great Cannonball Run era). The costume party (mustache-focused, of course) includes an open bar and entertainment provided by Ipop and the Flavor Savers (get it? get it?), not to mention mock musical entertainment by the U.S. air guitar champion, Romeo Dance Cheetah. Prizes will be handed out for best costume and best real mustache. If you're like me and have a facial hair growing deficiency, mustaches will be provided upon arrival. Expect fake mustaches floating in pints of Miller Lite by the end of the night.
Price: $30, $25 in advance
