My Dream Is Yours

Musicals weren't the forte of Casablanca director Michael Curtiz, but he did quite a few for Warners in the 40s and 50s, mostly of the biopic variety (Yankee Doodle Dandy, Night and Day, The Helen Morgan Story); this 1949 film doesn't fall into that category, though it does recycle incidents from the career of its star (Doris Day) in telling the story of a young radio singer who rises to the top of the business in a hurry. Not much by all reports, but the cast is solid, if standard (Jack Carson, Lee Bowman, Adolphe Menjou, Eve Arden), and Bugs Bunny makes a special guest appearance in a dream.
