Mysteries of Egypt

Rated NR 39 minutes 1998

Without getting into what made the disruption of King Tutankhamen's repose by archaeologists different from the sacking of other ancient tombs, this historically minded Omnimax movie tours Egyptian antiquities after an exhilarating simulation of a boat trip on the Nile. It's all justified by a relatively unintrusive framing story about a curious girl and her knowledgeable grandfather, played by Omar Sharif, who delivers the sonorous narration in character. Directed by Bruce Neibaur.
