Mysteries of the Inscrutable West

To the editors:

As an avid reader of the Reader, may I call your attention to a couple of glaring errors (at least to those among us who can read maps and have ventured west of the Tri-State Tollway).

Northwestern Steel and Wire Company ["No Pets," November 20] is located (not situated) in northwestern Illinois (not western Illinois). Situated has to do with a set of circumstances one may find oneself facing; location has to do with a geographical placement.

Also, be advised that Schaumburg (in your Neighborhood News column in the same November 20 edition) is not a far western suburb, but is rather a northwest suburb.
