Warm, comfortable pub; it's Irish, but not too Irish.
Terra-cotta faux-finished walls, tin ceilings, red vinyl banquettes, and tile floors in reddish orange make this pleasant pub feel spacious, and while a few walls sport hand-painted Celtic knots, it's not an Irish "kit" bar with every knickknack imported directly from the motherland; it's got character and plays music other than Irish folk tunes. The more than a dozen beers on tap work well with the limited menu of simple American and Irish dishes. Appetizers are mostly bar-food favorites like quesadillas, buffalo wings, hummus, and fried calamari. A popular menu item is the build-your-own burger, with add-ons including cheese, bacon, mushrooms, onions, sprouts, and avocado at 75 cents each. There's also a selection of sandwiches, steaks, and Irish specialties like fish-and-chips and bangers and mash.
