Naked Boys Singing!

This video version of the stage revue clearly lacked much of a production budget, but then again, costumes aren't exactly an issue. The opening song, “Gratuitous Nudity,” sets the tone for the show, a mostly tongue-in-cheek celebration of gay flesh and lifestyles. The ten chiseled guys vocalize well and have a flair for comedy, though like the songs, some are better than others. With his powerful balletic leaps Kevin Alexander Stea is a showstopper in “Naked Maid,” and Jason Currie has the gams and attitude for high heels in “The Entertainer.” A Chorus Line this ain't, but it's still fun. Directors Robert Schrock and Troy Christian are more successful with the saucy numbers than the somber ones. 83 min.
