To the editors:
A quick comment on the Hot Type column in the May 1 issue.
Mr. Miner's final story--"A Year Older--John F. Kennedy turns 70 years old this month." I do not understand the purpose of this comment. If it was an attempt at humor--then Mr. Miner is sick. If it was a typo error and the words "would have turned" were inadvertently left out--then the author owes us an apology. However, if this type of enlightened commentary has now become a regular Hot Type feature--that is highlighting assassinated prominent people by childishly poking fun at them and their memory--then I'm sure Mr. Miner can't wait until January 15, February 12 or even perhaps December 25.
