Nights of the Blue Rider

The eight-week "festival of Chicago's international arts" wraps up this weekend. The listings below refer to theater and performance art offerings only; on nights when only one performance is listed here, be assured at least one other program of music, dance, or poetry is also planned, with discount prices available to viewers buying a ticket to all performances on a single night. Note that the festival's last night, Sunday, December 1, climaxes with a free closing-night party featuring food and refreshments at 8:15 PM. SATURDAY NOVEMBER 30

JEAN HOWARD and MICHAEL WARR

Howard's performance piece Poem in a Red Dress employs projected images by photographer Alice Hargrave; its theme is "the oddities of intimate relationships." Warr premieres his theater piece The Ghetto, Jehovah, Abyssinia, and Revolution--A Poetic Collage: 1955-1991. 8 PM. $6; $10 for this performance and the one by Winifred Haun and Dancers that follows it at 9:15 PM.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1

MARGO BUCHANAN in Kate Chopin. The actress stars in Stephen Legawiec's one-woman play based on the life and work of the controversial writer of a century ago. 3 PM. $6.

THE CORPORATE ANGELS CHRISTMAS--1991 Comic performers Tekki Lomnicki and Nancy Shelton entertain with "fractured Christmas legends and bawdy holiday cheer." 7 PM. $6.
