No Plastics, Please

To the editors:

In your July 23 advertising supplement on the Taste of Lincoln Avenue there was an informative article on the recycling center at the corner of Wrightwood and Lincoln avenues. There was, however, a major error in listing the materials collected at this site. The error is causing the Resource Center, the nonprofit organization operating the site, and the public a great deal of inconvenience. We do not take plastics at this site. We do accept newspaper, glass, and cans. Though we would like to add on additional materials, we are limited in the space we have. We urge the public to bring their plastics with a #1 and #2 inscribed on the bottom to the Chicago Park District field houses, one of which is at Wrightwood and Southport. Please print this correction--we cannot handle the misplaced plastics, and the Park District can!
