A cast of three lope breezily through disjointed moments of pending romantic collapse in this hour-long performance piece from Abraham Werewolf. Moonlit boaters are accosted by a guy wearing an origami swan on his head. A woman alternately clings to a man and dumps him onto the floor. A poet repeatedly admonishes the audience to "kiss carefully." Throughout, artist Sierra Dufault illustrates the dialogue by painting cartoonlike images on the walls. The piece works best when it approaches its subject obliquely--a bloodthirsty stand-up routine by a medieval Crusader is particularly provocative. But too many naturalistic scenes of desperate lovers hashing over approach-avoidance issues turns the tone unevocative and literal. Various guest artists perform curtain-raisers at each show. --Justin Hayford
