One to Another

Codirectors Jean-Marc Barr and Pascal Arnold turned to a real-life case for this French mystery about a young woman in rural Aix-en-Provence who's trying to learn who murdered her bisexual brother. The victim was also her lover, and assisting her on the case are three young men caught up in the siblings' incestuous relationship. The premise is intriguing, but Arnold's script, with its shallow characters and ponderous, pretentious dialogue, makes this 2006 drama a tedious affair despite its sexy cast and scenic setting. In French with subtitles. 95 min.
