Open Streets Recommended Free

When: Sat., Aug. 1, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. 2009

Walkers, bikers, dancers, and rollers will take over an extensive stretch of Daniel Burnham's boulevard system when the route closes to cars on Saturday. The car-free roads will connect Humboldt, Garfield, and Douglas Parks, and community organizations from Logan Square, Humboldt Park, Garfield Park, North Lawndale, and Little Village will be holding activities and performances along the route. Free and open to pedestrians anywhere along the designated streets.
