"I think [LGBTQIA+ climbing events] are definitely important to bring together, of course, the queer community because obviously a lot of times we feel like a lot of queer people and LGBTQ people only have the spaces that are designated to them maybe in night life and different things like that but it's really important to also have activities for them to do," said Denali, 26, who competed during the climb-off benefitting Howard Brown Health.

Aunty Chan, pictured left, and Imp Queen, pictured right, collect money during the climb-off. The proceeds will go to Howard Brown Health, which has clinics that serve the LGBTQ community in different neighborhoods.
