February 29, 2:55 PM, 200 block of West Merchandise Mart Plaza. Telephone harassment. Offender called CTA offices to complain that PA announcements on trains were too loud. "I'm gonna kill someone over this," he said. Employees told police that man had called before.

March 1, 2:20 AM, 1200 block of West Bryn Mawr. Robbery. Gun-wielding man on mountain bike approached man on street and said, "Give me all your money. Don't run or I'll shoot you." Victim handed over $10. Offender asked, "Is that all you have?" Victim gave up his wallet, but it was empty. Offender said, "I don't need this," and fled.

March 21, 12:30 PM, 1700 block of West Berteau. Criminal damage to property. Man entered school to vote. Registrar told him he wasn't on rolls. Man yelled at election judges. Upon exiting polling place, man broke flagpole in half, tore flag to pieces, and fled.

March 26, 6:30 PM, 2900 block of North Rockwell. Auto theft. Man just released from prison went to see friend, with whom he had left his 1982 Oldsmobile. He discovered car was gone. Friend's mother told victim that she thought son had sold car to buy drugs.
