According to Fortune, Disney grosses a billion dollars a year off Winnie-the-Pooh, making him as lucrative a property as Mickey Mouse. But you'd never guess it from this indifferently scripted and shoddily animated feature, the third big-screen adventure for the bear of very little brain. Piglet (given voice by John Fiedler, who's had the role since 1966) decides he's not appreciated and disappears, obliging Pooh, Rabbit, the chronically depressed Eeyore, and speed freak Tigger to track him down. The screenplay by Brian Hohlfeld incorporates three of the original Pooh stories but captures none of the charm of A.A. Milne's droll voice. Directed by Francis Glebas. 75 min.
