Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Rated R 92 minutes 1987

Steve Martin and John Candy, mismatched traveling companions on their way home for Thanksgiving, experience "Murphy's Law of American transportation" in this 1987 comedy by John Hughes. Pretty dispensable, though it has one of the best homosexual-panic gags I've ever seen.
