When: Oct. 13-Nov. 20 2011

Early in David Parr's two-person romantic drama, the female love interest, Grace, snorts cocaine while wearing a wedding veil and proposing marriage to her uninterested childhood crush, Benjamin. Parr's portrait of Grace only becomes more awkward as the play moves forward. Benjamin, meanwhile, gets sympathetic treatment as the prodigal returning to Grace and their shared small-town roots. Inasmuch as Benjamin is a self-aborbed Mr. Wrong, I'd say Parr has his priorities backward. Corrbette Pasko brings some charm and humanity to the mostly one-note role of Grace, and Josh Hambrock is believably likeable as Benjamin. But neither performance can save Infusion Theatre Company's premiere from its own tedious angst. --Dan Jakes
