When: Wed., Jan. 19, 6 p.m. 2011
(10th Floor) The Political Economy Book Club discusses Chapters 1-16 of "On the Principles of Political Economy and Taxation" by David Ricardo. Ricardo claims that Turgot, Stuart, Adam Smith, Jean-Baptiste Say, Sismondi, and others had not written enough "satisfactory information" on the topics of rent, profit, and wages. This book is Ricardo's effort to fill that gap. Participation is free, but space is limited. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 312-262=9302.
