Psychedelia! | Chicago Reader

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the accidental invention of LSD, a program of experimental films, as well as one period documentary (LSD: A Trip to Where?, made in 1968)—all of which adds up to a potpourri show rather like those the Experimental Film Coalition used to specialize in. Included are Paul Sharits's T.O.U.C.H.I.N.G. (1968), Kenneth Anger's Invocation of My Demon Brother (1969), Charles Braverman's The Sixties (1970), the anonymous Sweet Smoke (1966), Sally Cruikshank's animated Make Me Psychic (1978), and Kurt Kren's 9/64: O Christmas Tree: An Otto Muehl Happening (1964).
