Maybe you've always been curious about what that thing called "performance art" actually is. Or maybe you've been aching to know things you can never know--like what the future holds for you. Randolph Street Gallery, P-Form magazine, and a motley crew of Chicago artists are daring to attempt to satisfy your curiosity with Psycho Circus. This fourth annual benefit for P-Form (one of the few national publications entirely devoted to performance art) not only features short performances by the likes of Rennie Sparks, Matthew Owens, Joe Silovsky, the Sock Monkeys, Marcia Wilkie, and more, more, more; it also offers psychic artists to read your palm, guess your future, and provide other "artistic illusions." Topping it off will be cheap beer and a dance party that bops till all hours of the morning. It might just tell you everything you've always wanted to know about everything. Then again, it might take you around the block a couple of times and dump you on your head. Chances are you'll at least be entertained along the way. Randolph Street Gallery, 756 N. Milwaukee, 666-7737. Saturday, July 31, 8 PM. $7; free with purchase or renewal of a subscription to P-Form.
