Theo Ubique's funky coffeehouse/cabaret space makes a remarkably authentic backdrop for this ersatz country-western musical revue set in an old-fashioned gas station with a tiny diner attached. Christina Hall and Danni Smith, who run the diner in the show, also wait tables before, during, and after it. And the area the pump boys perform in—doing double duty as singers and backup band—looks like a cross between a garage and a roadhouse. But neither the atmosphere nor the cast's raw, rockabilly energy redeem this evening of second-rate parodies and knock-off tunes designed for shallow audiences who can't stomach the real thing. —Jack Helbig
