Writer-director Stephen Cone asks an interesting question: if a minister of God discovers he has the ability to resurrect the dead, should he do so whenever asked? Especially when his powers wreak havoc in the community as the returnees' fervor leads to a rash of reckless suicides fueled by curiosity about the hereafter? We might care more about the answers if Cone had given his characters lives beyond the matter at hand. Nevertheless, this 80-minute sketch has all the ingredients for a provocative rumination on the moral issues engendered when miracles become too readily available. --Mary Shen Barnidge a Through 7/1: Thu-Sat 8 PM, Sun 2 PM, Side Project Theatre, 1439 W.
