Reading and Conversation with Alina Bronkskky

Alina Bronsky, whose debut novel Broken Glass Park will be published by Europa Editions in April 2010, will be in Chicago for a reading and conversation at the Goethe Institute. The event at the Goethe Institute will take place Monday, April 26, 2010 from 6-8pm and will be followed by a reception and book signing. The Goethe Institute is located at 150 North Michigan Avenue. The event is free and open to the public. Broken Glass Park, a thoroughly honest coming-of-age novel set in world of Russian immigrants in Berlin, has been the subject of numerous accolades since its publication in Germany in 2008. The highly-anticipated English translation by Tim Mohr, the translator of Wetlands by Charlotte Roche, was given a starred review by Publisher’s Weekly and called “a stark, moving tale of resiliency and survival.”
