When: First Monday-Sunday of every month. Continues through June 12 2021
Accidental Shakespeare presents Iris Sowlat's new adaptation (which she also directs) of the classic tale of "star-crossed lovers." As the company notes, the original story was set during a time of plague, which led directly to the tragic miscommunications that resulted in the deaths of the title characters. It's set in Chicago during the COVID pandemic and features a queer twist on casting, created out of "Zoom calls, self-tapes, socially-distant filming, and other video art." Each act will be presented as a separate online episode, with all the segments available once they premiere on the company YouTube channel and Facebook page.
