Room Service

John Murray and Allen Boretz's smash-hit Broadway farce was adapted for the Marx Brothers by Morrie Ryskind (who had served them well before, in Cocoanuts, Animal Crackers, and A Night at the Opera). Unfortunately, the play becomes a feeble vehicle for the Marxes, helped not at all by the basically one-set construction and flaccid direction by William A. Seiter. With Frank Albertson, Lucille Ball, Ann Miller, and Philip Loeb. For dyed-in-the-wool Marx enthusiasts only (1938).
