Let your Christmas tree be a lasting gift to the urban environment! ...Roots for Christmas delivers live potted Christmas trees to customers’ homes in mid-December. After the holiday, they pick up the trees and plant them in Chicago neighborhoods that need them. By purchasing a living tree, customers make a positive contribution to the urban ecology, support local green jobs programs, and start a family tradition that gives forward for years to come. Roots for Christmas is a collaboration between Cob Connection, a non-profit urban farming initiative, and Neighbor Capital, which provides business assistance for local social enterprise.
