Rose DiSalvo (MFA, School of the Art Institute of Chicago). About the Show: This show exhibits a series of paintings begun in the summer of 2010. They are abstract watercolors that convey a sense of the epic belying their small scale format. Taking up the tradition of watercolor as a transportable medium that artists have used to take notes in their travels, this work is a record of an expedition in psychic terror. As a supplement, the digital work in this show are notes from the field. They are part of a visual correspondence with another artist during this venture.
