This restaurant is tastefully decorated with rose-colored swags, burgundy tablecloths, and heavy, high-backed dark wood chairs. The food is a step above that of a lot of Cuban places in town: fresh tamales come with Spanish ham and cheese, the yuca comes either boiled with garlic mojo or fried into crisp bites that are creamy on the inside, and the maduros (sweet fried plantains) are wonderful. There's a selection of chicken, beef, and seafood entrees to suit every taste, including ropa viejo (the classic shredded beef dish), lechon asado (fork-tender roasted pork), and a paella Valenciana for two (order ahead, as it takes time to prepare).
