Sandlin's So-Called Life

I am perplexed by Lee Sandlin's critical review of this TV season ("Down the Tubes," November 6).

If all the programs are so awful, why is he watching them? It is not legally required of him. All television sets are equipped with an on-off switch. I suggest that Lee Sandlin turn the switch on his set to the off position, and that he use the time he saves by not watching this drivel to go out and get himself a real life.
